I've seen them but haven't looked too deep into them. Todd Begg's designs are pretty cool looking.

Reate has been turning heads with their quality offerings could be a good combo

Picked up an Ontario Rat II from Amazon for under $25. Gotta say this thing came sharper than my PMII and Grip. Feels on par quality wise with those two as well.  Very impressed for the price point.

Full size grip with ghetto wave. It's a blast to play with and stupid fast. I dig this version with the hollow grind too.

Trying to get DOAT to make me some scales out of some multicam micarta I made. Here's a pic of a piece I made and couldn't use because I sanded it too small.

UPDATE- I got a slab of "micarta" made up and sent to DOAT last week. Hoping to see some scales show up next week.

In the mean time, I picked up one of these to play knife legos with.

I'm not crazy about the blue on the new grips, but I wanted a nice blade to put in my DOAT scales when they get here.  I'm sure I can sell the G10 for a few bucks if I decide not to keep them.

I don't have any experience with any of the "super steels" other than INFI. I've played with S30V a couple times, but I don't prefer it over 154CM. I'm stoked to try the 20CV.

A lot.

Nope! I've taken pictures of all of them but never all together

Closest I've gotten:

Doesn't include:
Newer knives (a few)
Fixed blades (a few)
Whatever was in the pockets of my pants I hadn't washed yet  when I  set up the case (probably a few)

Last thing I would ever want is a knife that if I dropped it, would be camo'd and hard to find.

How do you like the Tolk?  I have an Avo and its a nice nice, though on the smaller side.  The Tolk looks like it would be a nice mid-range sized blade.

Love it.

Silky-smooth opening and solid lock up. It's a lot of knife for the package and very light. I tend towards smaller knives but this one doesn't feel like an overly large knife

They tend to nibble a bit at first but you quickly learn what your limits are when you start to flip. Trainers are great teachers if you want to look like you know what you're doing without the bloody fingers haha

I think typing that out the other day got it out of my system as the next day I put it in my pocket and have carried it since.

I got some pictures of my DOAT scales from the maker and they're on their way back to me.  They're a little fuzzy, but its not uncommon with the homemade stuff, so I am hoping to wet sand them up to 400 or 600 and get rid of the fuzz. I was going to wait to finish them before posting, but I thought you guys might wanna see.

I carried a #9 that I took the blade out of and blued for several years.

Surgically sharp, but brutally slow to deploy. I still carry it in environments where I may need a knife and the other occupants may be sensitive.

I've never needed my knife in a hurry so I guess I don't get the slow to deploy thing. For defensive use my bullets are faster, I guess maybe if I needed to cut a seatbelt in a wreck or something.

Not even that. I'm far from high speed.

But when you're gardening and have to constantly put things down so you can open your knife it gets old.

True, but then again my thumbs are far from green. Heck I planted some small bushes in February of 2015 and they're still the same size
