I have a Colt and am trying to find a red dot scope and mounts that will still enable me to use the peep sights. I looked at aimpoints and leupolds. Any other ideas. you guys seem to know your equipment!

The OKO, Comp M/ML/M2/ML2, Reflex II, C-more, leupold, and even the Optima2000 are all really fine choices in Dot sites for an AR15, My choice is the new Aimpoint CompM2.

I absolutely love my Aimpoint Comp M XD. Works great in low-light conditions.

I've got the Reflex II with the 12.5 MOA triangle. Great sight. I shoot from 0 to 500 meters, the tip allows for as precise shooting as you can accomplish. The triangle doesn't limit your precision, so it's up to you and the rifle.

Aimpoint Comp M XD .The old model with 3 MOA dot. The new ones have 4 MOA dot's and it's to large for me.I would prefer smaller than 3 but Aimpoint did not make. The old models are selling @ a discount now so I'm getting a couple more.Extra battery life hype on new models is just that, hype. The old models have great battery life.
