Dear Tampa Bay,

Change your turf. It's ugly and painful to look at on TV. It looks like they just brought in scraps from the dumpster at a turf factory and pieced it together.

Sincerely,
Every Other Baseball Fan not in Tampa Bay.

I thought the TV announcers on ESPN said they have to endure watching the ring ceremony on Tuesday afternoon too.

I'm a die hard Cardinal fan but I have mad respect for what the Pirates have done in the last few years. they have a long and rich historic baseball tradition and is good to see them competitive and give their fans the baseball they deserve

Any new ballpark that gets built should have a mandatory retractable roof. Fucking rain outs blow ass. I woke up early to watch the Astros kick some Yankees ass only to see that the game was postponed due to weather. You don't see any postponed games in Houston now do you?!

I think it's a good rule. If you're already out you shouldn't interfere with the play, unless it is a natural part of the slide. If the Jay's player had slid with his hands on the bag and his feet out to block that play, that is a legal slide. But once you start reaching out trying to grab the player it becomes busch league, you're already out.

You don't see any one call a domed stadium the most attractive stadium in the league?  That honor consistently goes to open roofed ballparks.

You can have a retractable roof and not be a dome. Minute Maid park is wide open to the air when they have the roof open. I prefer to watch a baseball game outdoors, but having retractable roofs just makes sense. You'll never have to call a game due to weather.

I use MLB At Bat app...radio (home and away) and gamecast for all games, one free game of the day video feed, and condensed game highlights (like entire game in 16 minutes - all significant plays, baserunners, scoring plays)..it's freakin awesome and it's like $20 bucks for the season.

MLB.tv has a 30% off student and military discount. They also have a single team option this year which was a bit cheaper.

The Phillies have just lost 4 games in a Row.  This is near historical BAD.

Any bets on how long the manager will last?
I caught part of the game.  One of the Phils messed up on an Infield Fly in the top 8th.  The Phils had Runners on 1st and 2nd with one Out. Batter skies one to near the mound.  He was automatically out.  Then the Met Fielder drops the ball.  But the runner on 1st forgot the rule so he decided to run.  Tagged for Out No. 3.

Butt chewing for the Runner, angry, toe-tapping for the manager.

Yep. Full ACL/LCL tear (I watch too much college football).

Tough blow for the Cubbies, big opportunity for Jorge Soler.
