O's signed Dexter Fowler ($35MM) coming on the heels of signing Yovanni Gallardo the other day. Decent parts; Fowler is sort of like Markakis in that he gets on base, but hits for more power and less average. I worry about Gallardo regressing to late Milwaukee version and getting hammered in Camden, in that division (assuming the physical works out).

In preparation, I explained to my 9 year old how bad the Braves were in the late 80s, but they did some of it on purpose and had a great 15 year run after.
