Desmond had no business swinging at that pitch. Stinky and the Strangers are the luckiest sumbitches in baseball.

Just look back to last season in the series between the A's and the Royals. Ventura is a punk. Almost as bad as Odor. I wish Ventura would peg Odor and let them fight it out till there is a victor. The winner is the biggest douche.

When Ventura starts to run out of gas, he doesn't lose velocity, he loses control of the ball. And he doesn't have great control of the ball to begin with. The only reason he doesn't hold records for wild pitches is Salvador Perez.

I don't see this as being any different than Schoop pelting Cuthbert, excluding of course the reaction of the guy getting hit.

This was waaaaayy different. Ventura has history of doing this shit. He threw 99 right at Manny bc he was pissed he was getting shelled.
It doesn't get much more intentional.

The Lowrie hit? Lowrie injured Esky the day before. Most teams would expect their pitcher to take that shot.

Lawrie. Brett Lawrie is a White Sox now and a huge prick. Jed Lowrie is an Astro now and a good guy. Both guys were A's though.

He threw at him twice in the previous at bat and missed and Machado said something to him.

Schoop obviously hit the runner by mistake. He even walked over to see if he was okay.

Now that they aren't in first, all 23 true Astros fans must be upset.

Ventura had a rough start and he took his frustration out on Machado, there is no excuse for that. He needs a change of scenery, (would have happen last year but for Jason Vargas' injury) preferably to another team.  The dude is a punk and an embarrassment to the ball club.  He isn't going to mature out of this type of behavior, this is what he is. There is a time and place for a batter taking a hit, this situation was neither.

Wish he would have been traded last year after the dust up with the Jays.........at least back then he wasn't completely tainted.

Apparently he was getting the cold shoulder from his teammates in the dugout afterwards. I think the Royals are tired of his shit.

The Astros need a hardline fundamental coach to get them focused.

You need Ron Washington. He knows hard lines.

You know the best part about this? I can't see the Dodgers bc I refuse to get time warner cable and Magic Johnson and the other new 'amazing' owners won't strike a deal with other networks. Pretty classy of the new owners to fuck over the entire LA area bc of greed but everyone praises them over McCourt.

And I know I'm an O's fan, but dodger baseball is fun and Vin is GOAT.

Also, most the national games get blacked out. Fuck these owners.

Colby Lewis flirted with a no-no/perfect game today. Two outs in the 8th walked a guy, then gave up some hits and a run in the 9th. Still mighty fine pitching from our 74 year old veteran.

Someone in my fantasy league snatched him up a few weeks ago. Thought no way he was getting called up this soon, maybe after all star break. Nope got called up and I'm sure the fucker that got him is happy. Finding a good hitting catcher is damned hard. I got lucky and got Lucroy. He's been fire this year.

Mama said they'd be days like this. Still have a 9.5 game lead on the Morans.
