An old friend of mine once told me that compromising with the progressives is like trying to make a deal with a neighbor who believes that he owns your backyard.
At first you work out a compromise where each side gives a little. A few years later that neighbor comes back with some proof that his property extends a bit further than you previously thought. "I know you don't like this but we have to work out a compromise. It's just some property after all. Not worth getting worked up about. We can make a deal and go back to being good neighbors." Once again you wrangle and compromise and he gets more. This process continues, again and again, until one day he owns all of your backyard and takes potshots at you when you trespass on "his" land. Then he starts claiming your house... |

I woke early this morning, had coffee and opened Facebook. Found several postings from former co-workers, a nephew and my older Sister---all of them Sandernista lovers, verbally dancing on the still warm body of a great man. My heart now knows the ache of what it must have been like during the Civil War, when families and friends were on different sides of a great conflict. I am known as an old Cold Warrior, former S.A.C. First Strike, scared me but I stood ready to do it. It left me forever at odds with those who hate our Country and that will not change. It's a very sad Sunday here. That is all I have to say, just had to get it off my chest.
