I would appreciate it if Webb stayed out of the race. He'll hurt Republicans more than Democrats I suspect.

If I were Bloomberg, I'd consider sponsoring Webb after looking at whether the market research shows what kind of vote he will draw from me and looking at long-term strategic planning. Having said all that though, I'd be shocked if Webb mounted a third party effort. It would be an exercise in futility at this point and you'd need bucketloads of money to make it practical... and if you have bucketloads of money, why pour it behind Jim Webb? |
