This reason, and this reason alone, is the cause of Trump's success. And it is more than enough to make him worthy of support. How naïve.... I mean all of you guys keep saying Congress won't work with him, he has to rule by decree, the GOP holds both houses and somehow Trump is going to be able to do the impossible and get them to cough up our guns..even though FBHO has tried for 7 years, some of that with a favorable congress and he hasn't been able to do shit(even though he had zero effort getting obamacare, and any and all of anything else he wanted)..............which doesnt even begin to take into account of when Trump made any of those statements, which was during the Federal AW ban to begin with..when nobody thought we would ever see an end to the ban...and everyone said our AW's were gone forever...how convenient it is that fact is always left out........... |

Gun and magazine bans are a total failure. That’s been proven every time it’s been tried. Opponents of gun rights try to come up with scary sounding phrases like “assault weapons”, “military-style weapons” and “high capacity magazines” to confuse people. What they’re really talking about are popular semi-automatic rifles and standard magazines that are owned by tens of millions of Americans. Law-abiding people should be allowed to own the firearm of their choice. The government has no business dictating what types of firearms good, honest people are allowed to own. |

All I want Trump to do is build a wall to keep illegals out (it worked for East Germany and it works for Israel) and stop ALL redistibution of income to illegals presently in the US in an effort to get some or most of them to self deport. Immigration from all Muslin/Islamic regions should be severely curtailed, not necessarily because of the reigion of Islam itself, but because the culture of the people from those regions is largely incompatible with western culture - this has been proven in Europe recently. I live near a Border Patrol/Customs/ATF dog training center and talk to many of them every week. Some of the permanent training staff are my neighbors.
When you get past the dog thing the common thread when you ask about border security is about how their hands have been tied by the Halfrican's administration. You can tell that their morale is very low because they are simply not allowed to do their jobs and are embarrassed by it. They really want to do what is right. With Trump I suspect those bonds will be broken and they will be able to do their jobs without undo political interference. If that is the one and only thing Trump "does for me" I'll be perfectly satisfied. I really don't see any of the other hopefuls (not even Cruz) making that a priority from day one. |

Good Luck Trump can cut deals with Pelosi and Schumer So you're suggesting that any Republican President, be it Trump, Cruz, or Rubio, can somehow make progress in restabilizing the country without dealing with the Democratic leadership in Congress? I find that vision of government just as frightening, frankly, than open Socialism or some other left-leaning variant. Reid, Pelosi, and their contemptible analogs aren't just going to wither and die if a Republican takes the office (though it might be worth tossing a glass of water on Pelosi just to make sure ), and whoever ends up in the Oval Office will in fact have to be able to deal with them to some extent. The fact that negotiations will have to take place is, well, non-negotiable... but what matters in the end is not that a deal was made, but who walks away with a smile while the other lies bloodied and bruised. Trump holds a decided advantage in that arena. |
