I traded for one.    Put 250 rnds down range over a couple of weeks to make sure it was the rifle that I didn't like..  then gone.  Don't like them and you won't change my mind.
Dead reliable and accurate enough for most uses.    But a the AR platform is much more user  friendly.

They get good reviews on most of the the videos i've seen on them

ETA:  I have no interest in one, I just watch random gun reviews online when I get really bored,   And random knife review videos, and backpacks etc, etc, etc

Aimless, I truly feel for you, stuck behind enemy lines, unable to fly to safety.

Every time you post about a rifle to buy it is like you are at the $1 whore house trying to pick the least worst one of the bunch.

May you one day spread your wings and reach the fee states where you can buy a rifle that isn't butt ugly or a mini14.

Amen.

For some reason having your rifle anodized in bright colors is popular trend in certain types of competition shooting.

In 2009 those magazines were selling for $100+. Not sure what they cost now, boça they could get expensive again in a panic scare.

I'd rather have an Ares SCR.  Yeah, it doesn't take .308 style uppers, but there are a lot of choices for calibers in the AR15 platform.

I would own one already if it came in red. I prefer FAL but the spouse unit liked the FNAR. And her favorite color is red.

I agree.  Looks like an interesting semi, presuming it's accurate and I've had great luck with FN in that area.

They probably don't want to be confused with the tacticool sniper crowd that do the unnecessary earth tones and camo patterns on competition and range rifles.

Something like that in .300BLK would be neat. As long as it were accurate.

That one is kinda ugly, too... but takedown... if it were available in .300BLK and is ACCURATE, that could be pretty neat. A take-down levergun in 300BLK would be pretty slick.

Making it look like a fudd gun doesn't make it any less of a gun.

I'll take easy to replace mags, durable finishes, and less weight, tyvm.

There is a place on Long Island that makes them pretty pricey

223 seems an odd choice for that browning

LRB's ain't cheap but Lou and Paul are great people, they built me a GI M14 clone a while back.

(Holy crap was that ten years ago? Because I think that was ten years ago...)

FNAR has been around for a while.  That just looks like a different variant of it.  Winchester had a version of it in mossy oak camo.  CDNN blew em out a few years ago for like $800.  Should have fent.  A guy I used to work with had one.  It's heavy and a bitch to take apart, but very accurate.

The feild stripping procedure is such a pain in the ass it's been a dealbreaker for many people. I see nothing in that rifle that many other rifles don't do better already.
