HK VP9...
Sadly I was late, very late to the party. Bought it 12/28/2014 when I was 32. I think with the 3rd mag, ammo, taxes, etc I was out the door for a little under $900. ETA: Page 2 ownage! |

I just had to have a 1911. So I went to Cabela's and found a Remington r1.
I really dislike it. The finish is shit. The frame is cast and lumpy. It came with shit magazines. It has a stupid silver trigger and barrel bushing. It isn't quite tacticool enough, but not old school enough either. It straddles the middle ground of being ugly to everyone. Ended up getting a couple Colts afterwards that I really enjoy. On the bright side it shoots fine with quality mags. I guess it will stay a nightstand/desk gun. |

Ruger MK1 .almost 40 yrs ago. They tossed in a box of ammo & a holster.I will never sell it.
Colt Combat Govt. Model .45 from a friend of mine when I returned home from Desert Shield/Storm.
A Ruger 10/22 in 1978, when I turned 18 years old. I paid $60.00 for it brand new in the box. I still have it.

Glock 19.
Shot my CHL course with it, carried it, shot the shit out of it. Sold it to a buddy for a good deal so he could have his first carry gun, as I had a 23 w/ night sights anyway. He still has it. |
S&W Mod 28 in 1985. $200 from a friend.
And I daily kick myself for trading it away. |
Ruger Model 1 Bicentennial edition in 300 win mag.
I was tired of shooting right hand bolt guns left handed. |
Glock Model 22 with factory Trijicon sights, and 3 extra mags. I was so proud.

Beretta 92FS stainless
Pretty sure it was around 9/11 when I decided to get my CC. Never did carry it. |

H&R M48 Topper 16 Gauge single-shot shotgun. I paid $60 for it at a flea market when I was 18. I still have it, and it still kicks like a mule.

Still my favorite gun for training and carry. |

I bought a H&K USP .45 brand new back in 1996 when I was 21. Was the first gun I ever owned and still have it 20 years later.

1974, Ruger Single Six .22.
Think I paid something like $74 out the door for it at an Oshman's in Texas. |
2005: About to head out to boot camp, got a hair up my ass that I wanted a Ruger Mini-14. Bought it two weeks before I left.
Before that I was gifted a Henry .22 lever action (16th BD) and a Remington 870 20ga. (14th BD) (oh, and a daisy pellet rifle, 12th BD. Shit was dope.) |
Benelli Montefeltro (12 Ga.)
Bought from a friend of the family for $650, like new. |
Fulton Armory Legacy Rifle (M16A1ish clone). Later I built a more authentic clone myself. The Fulton rifle is now a host for a .22 LR conversion.
A stainless Mini-14 Ranch Rifle when I was 18, from K's Merchandise. Went over to my buddy's dad's farm the next day and ran a couple hundred rounds through it....with no earplugs. I learned the importance of hearing protection that day.
First gun I bought myself was a K31. It was made in 1957 and has a tag with the name Alfred Villoz under the buttplate.
Glock 19. Really. First gun I ever sold and I have regretted it ever since.
A Winchester Model 270 pump action .22 LR. Still have the gun. I killed a skunk with it 4 or 5 years ago, from a respectable skunk killin' distance.
My first handgun was either a Ruger MK I or an H&R Model 99 Single Action Sportsman. I bought both when I was stationed in the Tidewater, one was a shop on Mercury near I-64, the other from a cool shop on maybe Big Bethel or Magruder, I don't know now. I still have the H&R; I made springs for the gun from the spring from the top of a point ignition rotor, and they are still going strong more than 40 years down the road. |
Remington 700 HBVS in .308. Leupold VX 3 6.5x20 on top. I still have it and use it. This was around 1988.
