Well? So, he's a gambling man. |

“Gun question. Glock or 1911?” the man asked as the two posed for the cameras.
“I don’t have either,” Rubio replied. “I have a Taurus .357 and my wife got a Smith & Wesson — the Bodyguard .380,” he replied. View Quote |

Check out the shirt the Arfcommer wore to the town hall meeting, Reagan flipping the bird, perfect. |

It irks me when people respond to the question "what kind of handgun do you have?" with "a 45," as if the caliber is the actual kind itself.

Here is the transcript:
Man: Mr. Rubio, Glock or 1911? Rubio: Well really it is all about shot placement and that is brought about by proper training and maintaining the fundamentals. Man: Mr. Rubio, well then what are your thoughts on 9 vs 45? Rubio: Well really it is all about shot placement and that is brought about by proper training and maintaining the fundamentals. Man: Mr. Rubio, for ARocks sake! At least answer beans or no beans. Rubio: Well really it is all about shot placement and that is brought about by proper training and maintaining the fundamentals. Man: Fo-get this. View Quote |

I don't really like Rubio, but at least that almost certainly means that his answer was genuine and he and his wife really do own those guns.
If he was just going to bullshit the guy, no way he would have said Taurus. Hell, even most people that do own Taurus guns won't tell you about them. |
|
The fact that they own handguns is a good thing. The fact that they need to become better educated to the options and choices out there is not a bad thing.
I would not feel bad voting for someone that actually owns handguns and is not afraid to say what they own. I would prefer to vote for someone with a better knowledge of guns and who owned a black rifle or two... I don't see any of this as a negative. |

Just for the record I have not owned a Taurus ever. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

Would have been pretty cool if the follow up question was "why a .357 and not a 9mm" and Rubio would answer with "Because I hit what I'm aimin' at..."

Makes sense - he's a Florida guy and Taurus is headquartered in Miami. Politicians play the angles, and he's probably tight with Taurus management.
