Woodland camo?  No ERDL or Tiger Stripe?  No Rhodesian?  What kind of soldiers of fortune are these?

This.  I wish more competition revolved around unfamiliar guns.

Too many "game guns" nowadays....

Anyone who's ever shot a stage with a stage gun says differently.

Though I've heard a lot of positive thoughts on the upcoming resurgence 3 gun match.

Its 1983.

Woodland BDUs were the TAC-Cool (that phrase wasn't known yet) wear at the time.  Even Big Army hadn't fielded BDUs to everybody at that point.

You don't see too many horned rimmed glasses anymore.

Now this looks like my kind of match.  I've got the Camo, old web gear and holsters, the BHPs and a Mossberg, I just need a MBR.  Unless I redo an AR like an old CAR.

And I want a damn crossbow stage, dammit!

Does it make me really old that I shot in one of those matches?  As well as one of the first Miller 3 guns?

If it makes you feel any better I remember watching one of the old school 3 gun matches on TV back in the 90's & that was one of the things that got me shooting 3 gun when I got done with grad school in '06.

Course, I was in my early teens when I saw it.

I probably still have that magazine.

Those matches showed that semi-auto shotguns had fewer failures than pumps. People tend to short cycle pump actions.

I know a guy who shot one year and won a ton of stuff . I liked the rules because all blind stages and no walk through at all .

The problem with blind stages is that since no one can help you reset, you will need a huge RO staff.
