God, if you exist, please post in this thread and let us all know.
I was religious for decades, thankfully I've seen the light. I do not believe in myths or things I cannot prove exist. You religious folks, I have a question for you: If I could positively show you your religion is false and God does not exist, Would you want to know???? |

After 4 different people come along with a car, raft, big boat and chopper that he turns away he drowns. Gets to Heaven and asks GOD why he didn't save him. GOD tells him I sent you a car, raft, big boat and chopper what more did you want. And with at least the foreknowledge and provision of the Creator at work for everyone. Always. Even for the very breath that we draw. Some tolerances concerning gravity and pressures which help or deteriorate living matter in the physical world, and about how we live are quite precise. The Bible actually states that the exposure of this world and about the total creation in general through intellectualism will do in some cases. For final judgment. Man's sciences will not help you here. |

Well so god DIDN'T provide? Huh....how about that. View Quote Here is where that argument falters. The whole "God lets this happen woe woe woe." mentality is always lost on me. I had an acquaintance who, after attending the funeral for her friend, started believing. The faith and trust that one shows by being a martyr can help others who are not strong in their faith or don't have faith at all to me. Just like a pastor from the church in China saying that they pray that America feels some of the persecution. He didn't do it in anger or a malicious way, but rather to help strengthen our faith and beliefs. Bad situations suck, but in those situations we have a comforter who can bring healing if you just listen. Those same situations can help another one find faith through whatever they see going on in the back ground. It's all perspective tho I guess. |

i know arfcom GD is filled with atheists.... i really dont care..
but, me, myself, i believe in god. i believe god watches over his children...... but i believe god expects you to make wise decisions, and attempt to protect your family from all things dangerous... and not to do dangerous things to endanger yourself or your family. wear your seat belt..... dont piss away your paycheck and have starving kids, dont leave your front door open, if you have wolves close to your house, dont walk down dark alleys in bad neighborhoods, etc.... etc... and play that islamic Insha'Allah bullshit. god loves you... but he will also let you learn your lessons the hard way. you might become a paraplegic, just to be a example to others, to not drive 100mph and street race, etc. .. if god fixed everyones problems, and no one ever had anything to deal with, we would have a idiocity world filled with helpless idiots, as god " baby proofed" the planet. as was said... god helps those who help themselves. i believe people DO get helped, and do get saved in moments of crisis, where their survival was almost 100% guaranteed to fail..... but they live.... and hopefully realize god gave them another chance, and do better with their lives after that point. |

I wonder if European Christians blame France, England, Germany, or do they blame the US as well? There have been Christians in those places for centuries...longer than there was an America and damn sure longer than there was an Obama. Because of the evidence. A few points: 1.) Very few people deny the historical authenticity of the Bible, especially the gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John). They're more well documented than almost any other ancient work. 2.) The guys who wrote those books down (the primary sources) went to their deaths saying they saw what they saw. Every single one of them (ETA: John was exiled, but went on spreading the word about what he'd seen until he died - our understanding is that the rest of the 12 were martyred, specifically, and many more who heard from primary sources such as Stephen were also martyred for believing what they did). There was no glory in it, and they knew that. Why would they go to their deaths for something they knew was a lie? Not a single author in the new testament, and yes that means Matt, Mark, Luke, and John, knew Jesus. If they claimed they saw Jesus, then I seen Elvis! The FIRST written anything in the new testament was done 50 years after Jesus died. Lots of people deny the accuracy of the bible from stem to stern, and for a metric fuckton of excellent reasons. Correct. There is even a very real debate as to the historicity of Jesus. Certainly the Gospels are no help here. Despite being copies from an earlier unknown source they still fail to match on the most critical details. They don't even agree on the day or hour that Jesus was crucified. Again, they do not even agree on the DAY. Nor do they match on other critical details, nor do those details match any historical record as might be expected given their nature. Was their an earthquake? When did it occur? The answer, despite the bible, is that there is no record of any earthquake. Nor did darkness cover the earth. The dead did not begin walking around Jerusalem -- in the bible an astonishing number of people come back from the dead. Was the viel of the Temple torn before or after the crucifixion, and so on. Incredibly, they do not even agree as to Jesus's last words. As for Paul, we are all aware that he only knew "Jesus" through hallucinations or visions. Nor was he ever compelled or even interested in seeing the locations where these miraculous events supposedly occurred -- because it didn't matter. Jesus, to Paul and the early Christians, was never an actual guy. As for independent corroboration the evidence usually pointed to, Josephus, has already been shown to be a later addition. |

As I stated before, intellectualism itself or in a typically relevant way of thinking will be good enough for some. In judgment. The Bible claims that all relevant matters of the spirit are God given. Maybe you lack some information about spiritual matters as they really are? The Bible also clearly states that without faith it is impossible to please Him. I'm almost certain that the Bible also clearly indicates that God has given every man a measure of faith to believe something with. Therefore, I do not believe in Hari Krishna and so forth. The Bible states that you cannot serve two masters. One. I am to be. Therefore I have life. There is no fear of death according to these things. |

Everyone of these processes for propagation is performed under conditions that give the young the best opportunity to survive and live to the point of reproducing again. And on and on it goes.
