24For all flesh is as grass, and all the glory of man as the flower of grass. The grass withereth, and the flower thereof falleth away: 25But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached unto you. View Quote |

1 Corinthians 13:4-8a Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. It has worked for 25 years. |

Islam anyone? Pretty sure Islam worships the God of Abraham same as Jews and Christians, but they probably follow a false prophet like Jesus warned about. For some reason I was under the impression that Muslims are descendants of Ismael and that's why they're fighting with the descendants of Isaac(Jacob/Israel)? |

21It paws fiercely, rejoicing in its strength, and charges into the fray. 22It laughs at fear, afraid of nothing; it does not shy away from the sword. 23The quiver rattles against its side, along with the flashing spear and lance. 24In frenzied excitement it eats up the ground; it cannot stand still when the trumpet sounds. 25At the blast of the trumpet it snorts, ‘Aha!’ It catches the scent of battle from afar, the shout of commanders and the battle cry. |

He guides me along the right paths for his name’s sake. Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalms was written by Solomon: a wise man burdened by great responsibility in a foul world, a gifted warrior in a violent world, and an ultimately flawed man that we can all relate to. I read Psalms as the cries of a desperate man. Psalm 23 brings tears to my eyes every time I read it. Sorry, brother, but David is credited with almost 80 pieces... Solomon with only 2 pieces. Moses is credited with 1 piece. It is not a chronological text/book/writing or even of just one author.. Interesting. I'll check it out. David was Solomon's father, right? They were both tested. How can anybody tell what was written by whom? IIRC, the book of Psalms was mis-translated to all hekk and gone. My dad's wife is Jewish and a bible scholar and she has learned to read Hebrew. I'll have to confirm this with her, but the actual translation was "He prepares a SHIELD (...mistaken as "Table", same word different meaning) in the presence of my enemies"...meaning that the King would send a champion into battle, dressed in the King's battle gear to fight on the King's behalf. |
