It's not the game you play, it's how you play the game...
https://youtu.be/Wx3aGlpvSxw My quarters were generally spent playing Exidy Star FIre at the arcade at the mall... 20 miles away from where I lived. Circa 1980-83 Believe it or not, it was pretty darned advanced for the time. |

Centipede was my favorite. I have a Galaxian (?) in the basement. Needs a tune up.

View Quote +1. Tempest was slick. alas most of the mainboards had heat problems, so most were toast. Would be cool to find a cabinet. |

Playing with my two best friends, late 70's, in no condition to drive, friend 1 is on his 1st quarter for about an hour, I said "he is great with his hands, chicks must love him", friend 2 immediately replies "he must love himself". |

If ever you find yourself in Laconia,nh you MUST! Make the visit to funspot. It's literally an arcade museum. All broken up by decades, manufacturer, developer etc. Not to mention a pretty serious collection of pinball machines.

Wow, you guys are bringing back some wonderful memories. What a awesome time to be a kid in America. Riding bikes and skateboards to the arcade, hanging out with friends, flirting with girls and not a care in the world.
I sure do miss those simpler times when America was still America and all was right in our little universe.... |
