Yes they do.  However, they should be pointed towards each other.

I tell the wife that we must have an equal amount of each...so as to not discriminate...therefore, whenever I buy a new gun , I have an excuse to go  buy another soon afterwards...

A couple of my carbines and one of the MAK-90s. Looks like they're getting along alright to me...

Of course, the ultimate marriage of the AR and the AK is probably the Colt R6830. AR accuracy with AK punch. A combination that's hard to beat...

Hey boomer, I don't see a bayo lug on that bottom AR.  That a postban or an illegal flash suppressor?
Link Posted: 4/27/2001 5:54:11 PM EDT
[#13]
I don't believe the 7.62x39mm ARs ever came with a bayonet lug.

'Course, I could be wrong.[:D]

Neither. It's a pre-ban made in 1993, as verified by Colt. Colt discontinued the bayonet lug back around 1990, the same time they switched to the Sporter name after having their AR15 line specifically targeted by Californian politicians during the fallout from the Stockton school shooting. Being as the R6830 Sporter Lightweight 7.62x39 was first introduced in 1993, they never came with a factory bayonet lug.

If you are talking about the tubular stock on Art's SAR-3, that looks like an ACE stock with a FAL grip, same as on my MAK-90. The wooden stock on his WUM-1 looks like the factory thumbhole job to make the gun legal to import into the US.

They go together like an M-1 Garand and a 98K Mauser.

Sure they do! I put my AR and AK together in my gun closet... er, safe (yea, that's it!), and 6 weeks later I found a couple of SKS's snuggling up to their stocks. Just like kittens, only I'm not giving them away.   [sex]

it's like mixing blues and browns together.  al bundy did it - but he's al

sas is brown from top (8') to foot (big 16") and would never wear blue, but he's just sas.  now chewbaka broke fashion boundries with his silver and black bondalier thingy - he was and edge cutter, chewie!

i however like ar's and hk's.. THAT is a good combo.

steve and 'sas'
just hanging out with our ar's and hk's,  too bad sas doesn't have a human looking sister, we could be brothers!

Rich...Yes, thats my place & the house across the street....It's not really raining in these pics I just pushed the car out of the garage to rinse it off. It was sitting all winter & was pretty dusty. It was 'kinda cloudy that day though....And yes, that is a legal, PA registered "personalized" license plate...  Pretty cool Huh ? I saw a plate like that on a car in a magazine when I was a kid and never forgot it, thought it was soooo cool.

And Boomer answered your other question for me......He knows his guns.......[:)]
