Hang in there Doug, you are never alone!
Donation sent after I read your story..
What left me wondering though is the name of the Docter, I thinks he should be named and shamed..
My other thought is who ever will do your new operation I hope that you find the right Doctor an hospital.
The town you’re in and the people you have dealt with up until know suck badly, seems that you should get a fresh start on this someplace else maybe someone here can help you get pointed in the right direction.

Okay, I can't take it anymore ... I just got home from the hospital Monday evening & I'm still trying to get settled in, but I just have to say something. I've been around here a long time & know you all can see when I've been lurking
Didn't really want to write some canned response either, rather preferred it to be a bit more personal... but i am sorry, I just can not do that right now. I am too emotional & can barely hold myself up long enough to type much. I have spent a lot of time today reading through as many of your comments, written to me in the threads posted by Striker, Mark LaRue & SpeyRod.  My brain has not caught up with all that my eyes are seeing & reading quite yet. However I do believe what the eyes are seeing...  So to everyone here who has shared your prayers, love, support and gracious donations with me; I want all of you to know how grateful I am to each & every one of you and for everything that has been done for me in just the last 14days. You are all truly amazing people & each one of you will have a piece of my heart forever- be it here or on the other side. Thank you to the Site Owners, Thank you to Striker, Thank you to Mark LaRue, Thank you to Bill & Amy & Joe, Thank you ALL so so much for having my back here & now, in this moment, and going forward... This has all happened so fast & right when I didn't know where or what I was going to do anymore and right when I needed help more than you could ever know.
I appreciate you all so very much!  I've said it before, but I'm going to say it again; I am so blessed & proud to be a part of this very special community that we have here. Please know that you have all given me a new perspective on a lot of things, including myself.  Many of you have said things to me that I will always remember and in ways you've helped me that I will never forget.    Many blessings to everyone,  Doug

I hope they can get you in quickly, Doug. Time is of the essence for you and your family.

I had double hernia surgery and I had nerve damage from it. Felt like my guts were falling into my junk for quite a few years. Fortunately it has gone away and things are normal.

Donated directly and bought a Dillo.

I'm not one that usually enjoys seeing lawsuits, but damn that original doctor after you told him you had problems and he put you off for so long!

Have you talked to a lawyer?  Sorry if I missed this earlier.

I'm not sure if taxes are an issue, but perhaps they could be avoided if Larue pays the Dr directly.

Gentelmen,

I want to give you an update.

I am working with Doug to make sure this fund raiser, and any future fund raising efforts, do not jepordize his situation. I have received some excellent help with some issues and they have been resolved. We do not have any tax issues, they are settled now and for any future donations.

Our next step is in process: Our goal is to make sure Doug is happy with the process and that it hopefully makes his life easier. Things are being put in place to ensure he and his assets are protected.

This is all I will say about Doug. I am astounded that he has such a good outlook on life. In my worst nightmare I couldn't imagine going through what he is living on a daily basis. I can only dream of being as strong as he is. I am constantly joking, the more I know people the less I like them. Doug has challenged that pov and redeemed humanity. As to the doctors and insurance companies who have put Doug in this situation, may the ROYAL FUCK BE ON THEM!

Doug has a long way to go. Please consider giving when and what you can. I plan to buy 900 bullets on my next order instead of 1,000. The difference will go to Doug and it will make a difference!

Thanks again to everyone, you are making a life and death difference to a good man!

I just wanted to say that the second BFL silver coin is now inbound to Mark for to go with the second rifle being raffled off.

That will be two coins I've sent to Mark now, one for each gun.  If Striker does pull together another raffle in the next month, I have one more coin I can contribute to the cause if needed.

M4-CQBR...Hope you get to feeling better soon brother!

I'd just like to say thank you to everyone who contributed to the fund and purchased dillos in the raffle .  It makes me feel great to be part of a group that's willing to help each other out.

Between the GiveForward page and the check that Doug will receive from the raffle proceeds, we should be looking at exceeding the original goal of $25,000.

Without a doubt, Mr. LaRue's generosity of donating over $5,500 in guns combined with Randall007 donation of at least $500 in custom knives to this raffle speaks to the generosity of the gun and knife community more than any anti-gunner would ever want to admit.  And best of all, we've seen these companies show this kind of generosity time and time again because they are owned by really amazing folks.

Thanks again to Mr. LaRue for also contributing the dillos and managing the orders.  Really top notch out fit Sir!

Thanks
Wes

There is a second raffle fund raiser in the works. The logistics side of things are being handled. What Doug needs now is a lot of support from us and some time to arrange for the procedure. If you would like to give strait up you can use the link in the OP. Or keep an eye out for the upcoming fund raiser. It sounds like it will be a good one.
