Not really. Once the High Sparrow manipulated Tommen into doing away with trial by combat, what choice did she have?  Unless she was willing to be executed or go on the run.

agreed--she was completely boxed in.
By her own hand, she put the HS in power.

in her mind, that's not her fault.  the HS "betrayed" her.

Varys.

I love how it seems everyone gets something different.

I showed that to about 10 different fans of the show and we all got different names.

A girl who hates Ramsay with a passion got him.

'House of Cards' won it last year.

As everyone has commented on the excellent soundtrack this season (especially in the last episode), it's interesting to note how high GoT is pushing the bar for television.

There isn't even a category for best original score, soundtrack, etc. at the Emmys.

I stand corrected (and good to know there is one).

The category isn't on the nominating ballots.

Choosing death or exile would have been a saner choice.

So when one has a chance to wipe out all one's enemies at home in a single move, the "saner choice" is to allow yourself to be killed by your enemies instead?

I don't know if it would be saner, but it certainly would be pussier and not at all Cersei-like.

Yup.

There are also the people saying "Cersei is so dumb, Kalesi, the dwarf, and all them are going to fuck her up."

While things don't look good for Cersei long-term, they look a damn sight better than if her head was parted from her body after she was found guilty.

Yeah, with all the bullshit categories that no one cares about it'd be pretty fookin' lame if they didn't have one for that.

You know, I was kinda hoping to see some Sexy Septa nekkidness...I mean, she was there to humiliate Cersei on her walk of shame, I would have thought the first thing she'd have done is strip her down and have her spread-eagled for all to see!

Imagine that, the shot opens focused on the Septa in her coif and wimple as Cersei taunts her and pours wine down her throat then the shot moves on so we see her buck nekkid strapped to the table.  Cersei taunts her, slapping at her enormous knockers and sliding her fingers up Septa's round full thighs then breaking out a small cat o' nine tails and thrashing her a bit before flipping it around to use the handle.  Then she says she has something much more "fitting" and in walks Clegane...that's how I'd do it!

Speaking of "Porn of Thrones": was there a graphic (for GoT) sex scene all season?  If there was I can't remember it.

Ser Grego and Septa Unella.

I guess I am the only GoT fan here who hated the finale.
The sept bombing was too convenient and felt lazy. I know there was wildfire under the whole city, but who moved it there to thst specific location ? Mt. Frankenstein by himself? The kids and Maester Qyburn? Also, he gives kids some candy and they turn all stabby? Finally why did the Lannister faith militant chase after the one kid by himself? Who gives a shit about a street urchin?

And the high sparrow being so obviously conned? He bested Cersei multiple times by out maneuvering her. Yet he blindly stands there grinning while Marjory says to get out and blocks the doors. Shit I hated him but I expected more cunning.

Also the jumping around by Varys was dumb and broke the 4th wall for me. Is there fucking teleportation? For that matter how did Danarys fleet meet up with Tyrell and Dorne ships? Did they use GPS, radar, and radios to coordinate? Plus they would gave to hug the coast alerting everyone in Essos they are coming.

Whole fucking thing felt lazy and rushed. However, I got a murder boner from Aryas scene.

Something bothering me about Sam's storyline.  They make a big deal about his fathers sword, him stealing it, and it makes an appearance in the finale.  Any chance that is/was/becomes Lightbringer?

Tyrion deserves justice for his name in regards to the North. He's the only Lannister I truly like and deserves some justice.

If it was an IQ test, maybe.

However, when you consider all that they've done, where they started, and where they are now Baelish's cleverness and craftiness easily outweighs that of Tyrion, IMO.

Except that Tyrion emptied out those stashes to defend king's landing from Stannis by setting the Blackwater on fire.  (TV version:  except he conveniently left a big stash right under the fucking sept of Balor, which makes no sense).
Good episode, absolutely retarded plot point.

The major landmarks were all rigged to blow by the Mad King before Jamie killed him. All Cersei had to do light a fuze for a bomb that had been planted decades ago.

Except that Tyrion emptied out those stashes to defend king's landing from Stannis by setting the Blackwater on fire.  (TV version:  except he conveniently left a big stash right under the fucking sept of Balor, which makes no sense).
Good episode, absolutely retarded plot point.

He didn't take it all.  There was some that was too unstable to use as I recall.

I do remember some comment about that, but just leaving it under the sept of balor?  Tyrion is smarter than that.

Yeah, it's a bit unlikely.

Speaking of "Porn of Thrones": was there a graphic (for GoT) sex scene all season?  If there was I can't remember it.

Ser Grego and Septa Unella.

Off screen...

I love how it seems everyone gets something different.

I showed that to about 10 different fans of the show and we all got different names.

A girl who hates Ramsay with a passion got him.

I guess someone had to be the first to get Daenerys.

In the books, Tyrion is very wary of Petyr.  I think they are both equally skilled, along with Varys.

So when one has a chance to wipe out all one's enemies at home in a single move, the "saner choice" is to allow yourself to be killed by your enemies instead?

I don't know if it would be saner, but it certainly would be pussier and not at all Cersei-like.

She's insane, tho.   She's burning down Westeros to feed her insanity.

Not really. Once the High Sparrow manipulated Tommen into doing away with trial by combat, what choice did she have?  Unless she was willing to be executed or go on the run.

She was the instrument of her own son's death.

Choosing death or exile would have been a saner choice.

My Game of Thrones
is better than yours, my army
is bigger than yours, unsullied
with no dicks attached
Lala la la-la
My fleet is sailing
Lala la la-la
and I got dragons

No apologies to Kelis and her stupid-ass song.

Certain things really bothered me in the show, like Varys being on the boat at the end.

However, the "convenience" of wildfire being under the Sept of Baelor wasn't a dealbreaker for me. It looked pretty unstable, it's not unreasonable to assume that it was left over from long ago.

I could be mistaken but didn't cersei completely AVOID the sept for the last 4 episodes or so? Did she ever try to keep Tommen away? She eventually knew there was a ticking time bomb under the sept. It's relatively stable apparently, but like old dynamite, it was getting worse.

Wow.......HK was right (and wrong).

No Miguel Sapochnik for season 7.

But....Alan Taylor is returning.

I guess I am the only GoT fan here who hated the finale. The sept bombing was too convenient and felt lazy. I know there was wildfire under the whole city, but who moved it there to thst specific location ?

Was Tyrion even aware that it was there?

I really doubt it.

The batch that he used at Blackwater was recent production ordered by Cersi, and taken over by Tyrion.

Coincidentally, it was Lancel that told him of the Wildfire and Cersi's plan.

Tyrion knew it was there (via Jaime), he specifically mentioned it in the previous episode to Dany.

They actually did a decent job setting it up over multiple seasons. Varys mentioned that there were around 50 miles of tunnels dug under Kings Landing (prior to the Battle of Blackwater) and it was the reason why Jamie killed the Mad King.
