At the end of Godfather III when Mary is killed. I snickered because it was pretty bad acting, until... Al Pacino realized his daughter was dead. You could just see him falling mentally into an abyss. You could see Diane Keaton's character understating that even through her own grief. That scene made me let out a gasping sob. Al Pacino FTW.

Pearl Harbor was a terrible movie in many respects...
...but that scene with the hands at the grate.
