Worth every penny. I haven't laughed that hard in a while. A lot of pop culture reference jokes lost on just about everyone in the crowd younger than 21-23. Fucking awesome movie. Will not watch with the wife though.

PS. Stay for the credits

This.  Bolted work a bit early today to catch the late matinee.  WAY to much for my kids.  Someday, but not anytime soon.  Wife wouldn't get the character anyway so it isn't a Marvel movie she would watch anyway.  Of the movies out there, it does seem to be creating the most talk/buzz.

My only concern (knowing it will be a successful weekend) is that the powers that be keep this "model" for Deadpool movies and don't use it as a model for other future superhero movies.

Great movie I seen it at the theater.......MOST DEFINITELY NOT a kids movie.  I am not really sure how they could make it PG13, because those were some great parts!!!

It will be interesting to see how much voice over work and editing it will get when it finally makes a TV broadcast on FX.

I could see them filming cut scenes specifically for that purpose, with Deadpool berating you for watching it censored or some such thing.

Fox is remaining conservative, putting the movie's three-day weekend in the vicinity of Guardians of the Galaxy ($94.3 million) and Captain America: The Winter Soldier ($95 million). Rival studios, however, are predicting that Deadpool will cross $100 million for the three-days alone, becoming only the 11th comic book movie to achieve that feat. And it's likely to score the top three-day R-rated opening of all time.

I loved it. Don't think it's good for kids.

Laughed almost the whole time and really enjoyed the fight scenes. He would make a great side character for future movies in addition to the well deserved sequel.

As a Catholic, you'll appreciate the reference to ""Lent" in one scene.   It's subtle but funny.

I'll be going to see it tonight.

I was doing some reading this week and they're already planning a sequel.

Who do you think should play Cable in the sequel?

Gerard Butler is my first choice.

I'd also like to see Hercules introduced

Saw it last night with the wife.  She didn't even know who Deadpool is but thought it was really funny.

It really did stick true to the character I thought; I felt like I was watching a comic book through most of it.

Is she playing WW?

If so I doubt we'll be seeing here in a Marvel movie any time soon.

Yes.  As most comic book movies don't really keep in tune with the comics anyway.

I'm currently sitting in the theater waiting for the movie to start. In walks a little kid and his mom. I'm going to guess they walk out of the movie at some point because his mom didn't do her homework.

Low information.

When it first came on, my mom put South Park on when she was babysitting some kids one time. Because it's animated and thus must be okay for children, right?

She pretty quickly figured it out and changed the channel, of course, but still.

We've got tickets for the 6pm IMAX.

If the movie can keep the pace of its trailers then this might rival Team America for my "hardest laugh in a theater" movie.

The MPAA rating system has been around since 1968. No one has an excuse for claiming that they didn't know what an R-rating means.

Dolf is getting a little long in the tooth, pushing 60.

However, Cable was pretty old, too.

Wow, Cable has been in 2662 comics.

Deadpool in 1670.
