Ellen DeGeneres. Her show was funny until she came out. She said the show wasn't going to be about her sexuality, and then it became all about her sexuality and stopped being funny.
She has rebounded with her new talk show, but it took a while. Margot Kidder pretty much self-destructed, as did Kelly McGillis. McLean Stevenson torpedoed his career by leaving MASH. |
