Police officer shot and killed

*Update: At 12:18 a.m. Cambria Co. Coroner Jeff Lees said an officer from Westmoreland County was fatally shot Saturday night. He said he died in the Conemaugh emergency room. An official from St. Clair township in Westmoreland Co. told 6 News that he worked for both the St. Clair Twp. police and New Florence police departments.
*Update: At 11:25 p.m. NBC affiliate WPXI-TV in Pittsburgh is reporting the officer is from the New Florence Police Department. 6 News crew on scene reports Cambria Co. SERT team on scene.
NEW FLORENCE, Pa. – Police said a gunman is on the loose in the area of New Florence, Westmoreland Co., just 13 miles west of Johnstown.
Sources tell 6 News an officer was responding to a domestic dispute at a house on the 100 block of Ligonier Street in New Florence. Those sources said the officer was shot and found in the yard of a burning house.
State Police and many other agencies, including Johnstown Police are converging on the location.
Sources told 6 News the officer was brought to Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center in Johnstown.
