He never hit the brakes and he was shifting gears.

Seriously though, witnesses report no injuries although I hear the FD just freed the driver from the wreckage.

I recall there being a 64 oz steak houses in Amarillo.  Eat the steak, spud, salad, bread and you dine free. I wasn't even going to try.

for steaks Saltgrass or Hoffbrau.   Big Texan is ok but kinda touristy - their buffalo burger is really good.

Wish I could tell ya, but I was mostly taking a shot at Outback. I had a good meal at a Saltgrass in Amarillo once, but I have no idea if it's the best.

Enjoy your time there, man. I love that part of the state. It's got a very austere kind of beauty. Texas has grown and changed so much in my lifetime. Going to the Panhandle, especially the smaller towns, is like going back to the Texas of my childhood. Except even better, because we didn't have Glocks or CHLs back then.

Thanks for the correction. That's big!  I'd do it as a "take out" meal for a family/group but there are no take-outs on that, is there.

Yeah - you can buy it.  It's not cheap.  It's more like a roast than a steak.
