An 18-year-old in Illinois stands accused of killing a cat with his bare hands after having an argument with his sister over a bong.

Axel Salemi, 18, allegedly strangled the cat after his sister refused to give his bong back, a court has heard.

The cat, which was only seven weeks old, was crushed to death inside the family's home in Crystal Lake, a suburb of Chicago.

Salemi - whose mother runs an animal shelter out of their house - was been charged with felony aggravated animal cruelty and criminal damage to a domesticated animal.

Rage and lack of impulse control. I have a nephew who has issues with those things. Do you know how hard it is to make an appointment with a psychiatrist in some locales these days? They are SWAMPED with kids that have problems like this.
If McMurder clown made a habit of it, then no, not typical. But plenty of teenagers these days do impulsive things that most of my generation simply couldn't conceive of doing when we were kids.
