Sitting here, also in SA, after going to work last night because of Black Friday (I seriously hope no one here actually went to a retailer on Thanksgiving ), taking care of a sick fiancee.  Thank god I've got a new career I'm starting a week from Monday in manufacturing.

Our local water supply, Lake Lavon, has gained 2'9" since yesterday.  That is a phenomenal amount of water.

Lavon is 15' above its level one year ago today.

And it is still raining.

They need to dredge it some more.  Runs low too fast. Used to live in Lavon, they opened the floodgates a few times when we lived there.

Drought is a normal occurrence in the SW US.  Right now there is no drought anywhere in Texas.  There are a couple of spots that are abnormally dry, but not officially droughty.

Lavon is up 3.35" today.
