If only 10% pose a serious risk of violence, that's still a fuckload of people. No particular group of people has the right to immigrate. The first amendment guarantee of freedom of religion in no way implies that we cannot use religion in determining immigration policy. I mean, seriously, if a certain restaurant averaged a 10% salmonella contamination rate, would people jump up and say "Anyone who doesn't continue to eat there is a bigot and an idiot. The vast majority of meals they serve are completely healthy to eat" or would they just go to a different restaurant that had no history of bacteria ridden food? |
