The Pilgrims were settlers. They arrived in the wilderness and built a society.
The Syrian refugees are going to be put on the dole, given housing and education at public expense. And inevitably, some of them will either be terrorist infiltrators or will radicalize in America and attack and kill citizens of the country that took them in, just like the Tsarnayev brothers did. I wish Obama gave a tenth of the concern he has for Muslim refugees to average American taxpayers. |

Aren't the vast majority of "refugees" from Syria muslims? They aren't fleeing religious persecution, they are the people persecuting the Christians. You could make an argument that syrian Christians are similar to the pilgrims, but the syrian muslims are not.
