I just got an email from higher that states a homeland security warning was posted about "suspicious purchases of ups uniforms on ebay"

this is from brigade level

i thought to myself wow that seems familiar

a quick google check said yep, first surfaced in 2003 , same exact text as the supposed "warning" put out by DHS ( by the way was attached to the email as a .jpg , and the message itself reads like 1990s chain mail )

why the fuck are people so gullible

fucking a

This is a terrible excuse of a rant with absolutely no heart. The only reason I even gave 1 pt was the fact that at least you successfully started a thread.

So... what?  Be careful when you order a stripper?  They might be a terrorist?

I bet it would be easier to steal towed artillery from the Army than a uniform from UPS. (former UPS employee)

So the guy that is bringing my gift tomorrow could be a terrorist?

My mom's Amazon habit may well be considered hunting over bait, then.

I dont think it has to do with the old threat. UPS just had a large theft of Uniforms that is being treated with suspicion. Something like $35,000 worth. Most delivery guys get building access without question and with large packages. You do the math...

I knew it. That UPS shipping confirmation I just got was not coincidence. Time to deploy the claymores.

Direct from CBP.gov

"I've received an email about UPS uniforms being stolen

I've received an email about UPS uniforms being stolen and that people delivering a package in a UPS uniform may be delivering a bomb. Is there any truth to this email? It looks like it originates from a U.S. Customs and Border Protection official."

The email about UPS uniforms being stolen and possibly used by terrorists is an "Urban Legend". It is not true. This email did not originate with a Customs employee - although the email has been doctored to appear as though it did.

Please disregard the claims in the email and do not forward it.
