This is heartbreaking news. I am so sorry for your tragic loss. Our family has your family in our prayers.

Our family went through the loss of my 15 month old nephew a few years back. It will take a very long time to come to terms with this and unfortunately it will always hurt. But keep yourself around family and try to stay strong.

As a father of a 4 year old, i had this same fear since birth... and it never goes away... it gets worse... I'd never wish this on anyone.... sorry doesnt even begin to cover it.

I have a 13 month old girl. Imagining this happening to anyone turns my stomach. My thoughts and tears go to you and yours.

Not sure where you're located, but let me know if you need an ear to vent to. As a father of a 27 month old, I can not begin to understand what you must be going through. We've had our share of scares with him being sick, and this was always one of my worst fears.

Oh my god. This. I literally just got naseaus at the thought. Send shivers down my spine. My first child just turned a month old and the thought of this is just awful.

Stay strong OP, especially for your wife. So sorry for your loss. I just can't imagine.

I know its painful but update us as you find out what the ultimate cause was. I can't imagine this could just be the result of a cold.
