What round do the new rifles use, I can't read whatever language that is
I tried, I just can't |

Hey that's almost a BFL infringement on that first picture....... LOL

So, the Mosin still technically beats the 1911 in terms of the oldest, still issued military firearm? What these guys are doing with the Mosin gives a whole new meaning to "lipstick on a pig".

Can't wait for everyone that tapco fucks a Mosin to think he's an even better sniper now that some shit military is using some of the same upgrades.

I wonder what their criteria is for selecting appropriate barrels?
What set of bedding does the action get in that chassis? What are their thoughts on the horrendous lock time of that awful trigger assembly? Oh who am I kidding, that's literally a fresh coat of paint on an 80-year old (minimum) rifle. Also- Holy crap- that really IS a Mosin in a $100 Archangel stock! |
|
They must be to the bottom of the barrel. Im surprised they wasted the money on that plastic furniture. Put a suppressor on it and slick up the action and good luck, next!

Ukrainians defense budget is tiny, especially for a nation that's taking on Russia with no western help. You do what you gotta do to avoid being enslaved by the bear.

Design adopted in 1891. That's some kind of staying power! And woefully obsolete since about 1903.... How so? Stuff like the Mauser 98, M1903, Lee-Enfield, etc. All of which were better fighting rifles than the Mosin. |

Ukraine ain't spending money on a fucking Knight's ARs with a $2K optics or even a bolt Remington. They have these old rifles by the pallet and would rather spend money on keeping an extra tank or BTR still rolling. |

They are using Mosins in small amounts mostly for additional fixed position stuff and training. They have new domestically made Ar10 and Galil Aces but don't have sufficient .308 ammo for them. Their supply of dragonovs is large but lack barrels when they wear out. They also produce a clone BT APR in .308 and .338 but ammo is a problem.

The sign says that the maximum range of fire is 800 meters, but the range with a scope is 1300 meters.
And the stock is available in wood, polymer and aluminum. |
