I've been a long time user of Otterbox Defender. Is this still the best balance of protection and size? I usually carry my phone in a shirt pocket.

I run mine with just a Magpul case, and a quality screen protector.  Love the combo.  Not big and obtrusive, but protects it well.

I've had my 6 since Feb and I've been using the Otterbox Defender the whole time.   Not a single complaint.

I wanted to get a Lifeproof case, but they weren't discounted.

I went with a Pelican Case, and Zagg Glass, love it, and it's different than what most other people have.

My last three or four phones lived in Otter Box Commuter cases.  Never failed to get two years use out of the Commuter cases.  My current work phone was shipped to me with a Spigen Slim Armour case.  I think I like the Spigen better.  So far so good at six mos.   Either way I add a glass screen protector.  Won't go any thicker than these as 90% of the time I carry them stacked face to face in a pocket.  -J

This.  Otterboxes are massive and negate the slim lines of the iPhone.

I decided to try the Spigen. I'll get a Zagg installed on the screen for extra measure. Thank you

The best for me so far.  Finally settled on Urban Armor Gear after trying dozens of cases over the years.

So what screen protectors are best? Does Zagg still rule the roost?

I use tech armors ballistic glass screen protectors on all my iPhones. Used to be 26 bucks but now can be had on Amazon for 10 bucks. Smooth, doesn't get smudged easily, and optical clarity is the best.

Cinder was the most recommended on the iPhone forums I browsed. It's $40 but it's actuall curved glass. However I don't have any direct experience.
