Fake video.
I see on TV all the time how people are instantaneously incapacitated by one shot from a gun. |

Don't know what he was carrying, if I was him I'd be buying something bigger/better and selling that underpowered POS.
Reminded me of the Terminator movies. Attack, get shot, fall down, get up, attack, get shot, fall down, get up, etc., etc., etc. |

Just like the murder of Lee Rigby. Crash a car into pedestrians and then stab/hack them to death whilst everyone is still in shock from the crash.

Behold the "stopping power" of a handgun.
Increasingly I'm of the opinion that if I'm confronted with a terrorist attack, the danger has not passed until I see the contents of his cranium spilled onto the pavement. |

All you have to be is determined...and that's one thing the terrorist here had in spades. If you're determined, puny pistol bullets will not stop you. At least not right away. Not unless the person firing them puts one in your brain stem. |

I have been telling people this for years. the fight ain't over till you see brains. View Quote I'm hoping this gains traction on the domestic front. Like in Texas...the SWAT guys who showed up didn't stop until they had emptied the craniums of the two shitheads trying to kill everybody. I'd like to see that become SOP in an apparent terrorist attack, especially with the prevalence of explosive devices that often go along with these types of attacks. With somebody bent on generating a body count and dying in the effort, the threat ain't over until their grey matter has been forcefully evacuated from their skull. |

I'm wondering of the axe-wielding terrorist was wearing soft body armor.

Don't wanna end up like the pharmacist in Oklahoma...... ...if they have same rules over there. Jailed for a life for putting a final bullet into a guy who just seconds earlier tried to kill him. Plenty of people on this very site would convict you for doing such an act in spite of the constant stream of evidence that shows a person can take many rounds and still be a threat. I wish every so-called Liberal watches this video. But they would probably simpathise with the terrorist. Buy and Carry is the lesson. As for Israel, if history repeats itself, and I expect it will, it means war before September. With Zero support from us. |

I'm wondering of the axe-wielding terrorist was wearing soft body armor. View Quote Nope. He was being effected by the rounds, but not stopped. His wounds were likely mortal...eventually. This doesn't do much for us when an attacker is determined to continue. You need him to cease hostility immediately. With a motivated attacker the only way to guarantee that is to destroy his CNS. Hit the "off switch". |

That's quite a different thing than shooting a dude who just perpetrated a vicious attack...a dude who is still up and moving. I bet the terrorist would have stayed down had he been shot with a .40 S&W.
Oh wait this is ARFCOM.....the 9mm is superior to the the.40 S&W. |

When the Army showed up at the end, the perimeter formed itself like Moses parting the waters. That was impressive.

More work place violence. Nothing to see here, move along folks.
Now, how about we accept some Syrian refugees. |

Police and security duty ammo in Israel is a 9mm semi jacketed soft point. No hollow point or "modern" bullets.
The bad guy had a meat cleaver. I have pics of the ammo somewhere on this computer. I will try to find it. |

I was taught: "Two to the body and one to the head always leaves the target dead." Handguns are poor stoppers, but are easy to carry. I think the shooter did what he was trained to do. He shot until the target was down. When he got up he shot him again. He was shooting to stop the threat, not necessarily to kill even though he was using deadly force. That is what we are taught. If they can't carry hollow points soft nose bullets are a good alternative and better than FMJ. |

THIS is why we need to say FUCK YOU to gun grabbers. What else was going to stop that? Gee, I want LESS rounds in my gun.

Shoot to wound? Fuck that noise; Keep firing until he stops twitching.

The reduced bulk/weight in my waistband (I appendix carry) is too much to pass up. Come jacket/coat weather all bets are off. Glock 19 on strong side FTW. |

These types of incidents are making me think hard about carrying a 1911. I have carried one on and off duty and now as a CCW. The limited number of rounds I can carry has me thinking hard about a Sig 226 or Berretta. I just can't feel the Glock love even though I know they are an excellent fighting handgun. I am ghinking about a 9mm with a large amount of 148gr ammo. |

This is a perfect example that real life shootings don't match with what people are used to seeing on TV

If you think the guy is a straight-up terrorist, put one in his dome as soon as you can. He may be wearing a suicide vest/explosives.
Don't give him the chance to detonate it. ETA: I have been telling people this for years. the fight ain't over till you see brains. View Quote If they're a suicidal/homicidal mass-killer/terrorist, that's DEFINITELY a valid position. |

I'd like to know how the situation would have changed had the shooter been firing Hornady Critical Defense or some federal HST +P.

I never carry spare mags. I should carry spare mags. View Quote I'm thinking of using a double mag carrier instead of the single I now have. 31 rounds of good 9mm JHP sounds like a lot..... Until you see videos like this. Just imagine if the attacker had brought a few friends. I've recently sold off the last of my 1911s, partly because of the limited amount of ammunition I can carry, compared to either of my 9mm Glocks. The 1911 is a nice pistol but for the time being I trust my life to a Gen 4 Glock 17 or 19. |
