I like the car one where I ask them, "it's about saving lives, right?"  It's like farm-raised fish rising to a handful of tossed food.  "...saves one life...  ...for the children..."  Then I propose, "having governors limiting a top speed of 40mph and requiring all occupants to wear full-face helmets."


They are all about controlling guns, not saving lives.

Still wondering when Chris Mintz will be invited to the White House.

Spencer Stone, Anthony Sadler, and Alek Skarlatos were invited to the White House a month after they disarmed Ayoub El Khazzani on the Thalys Train in France. Of course, it only took two days for President Asshole to invite Ahmed Mohamed to the White House, so I guess all these other guys screwed up by being attacked by IEDs instead of building them.

Whittle is quite libertarian but he acknowledges that the moral foundation of a nation will define the level of freedom you can give your citizens.

There is a great quote, I cannot remember it verbatim nor who said it,  But the jist is "the more internal (moral) restraint a person (or people) has/have, the less external (legal) restraints have to be put on them."  Anyone know who said it?

He mentioned the idea once in a speech when he was pitching the "Virtual President" series and did answers for a crowd as "Mr. Virtual President".

I can't remember who he was giving the speech to or I'd try to find it.

And Reagan was once a Hollywood actor and a California Democrat.
Both men eventually saw the light and can be forgiven for their past poor judgment.
