Unfortunately, "From my cold, dead hands!" means wallet to most gun owners. Poor and uneducated gun owners are far less likely to donate and renew, so they use those gun ban scare mailers.

NRA is member run, so if you don't like their fundraising tactics you can run for the board and help change them.

No, for years after my FIL died I would send in $100.00 in his name. Not once did my MIL get a thank you note. Seems they spent the whole $100.00 mailing me more BS to get even more $$$$. So I gave up on them. I will say though during times such as these. I'm considering changing my way of thinking .

Pretty common on private ranges that host allot of matches. 100% NRA membership in range membership is one of the requirements for the range to get grants (from the NRA) for improvements if needed. I don't see it as a bad thing.
