Voted 1,000 before I saw Ceramic. Try it with your AR500 plate.

I'll go against the grain here.
3-5 to shatter the plate. Another 3-5 in the same location before one finds its way through. So between 6-10 rounds. |

Are you talking about hitting in the same spot, or just all over the plate? If you could ensure that they would all hit the same spot, I bet you could do it in 10 or so.

There is no way I could afford enough 22lr to go through an AR500 plate. Ever. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

i voted 100, but its probably less. View Quote Same here. More than 10, less than 100. The thing you have to remember is that those are ceramic plates, which can stop some really powerful/fast/hard projectiles ... but not many of them. The armor is basically self-sacrificing, and it will crumble quickly once hit a few times. |

I curious as to why you think it was crappy. Looked like it worked as designed to me. They're a one use deal. They're not supposed to come away from a gunshot undamaged View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Some plz post the answer as I cant watch videos. View Quote It took around 50 in the same hole. But SAPI plates are supposed to be against something firm, not flapping in the breeze. And even though rounds came out the side of the plate, the didn't truly go through the backing material. |

I am thinking it is going to take a couple hundred.
but then the question is, is 22lr a rifle or pistol round? ETA: interesting results I really would have thought it would have taken more, |
