Police said Stone was stabbed multiple times in the torso after a fight near some popular bars in downtown Sacramento, according to NBC affiliate KCRA.

I'd say booze from one or both parties is more likely to blame.

Stone was out with four friends — a male and three females — when he became involved in an argument with at least two men around 12:45 a.m. PT near some popular bars in downtown Sacramento, police said.

Let me get this straight.

Within a week, the school where one of the train heros is attacked by a jihadi looking for christians, and another of the guys is knifed outside a bar by asians?

And there is zero possible link. We just keep an eye out for slant eyed asian greasers? (Statement not racist, they say asian so we assume the china man, not the muslims who look like afghani's and average white dudes who also happen to reside in asia)

Stone appears to be one of those good guys who has the right stuff but the bad luck that causes him to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. He showed character and courage with a good dose of humbleness. Blue to Green? He needs to be picked up by a caring army or marine SF team and shown a different way of life, maybe he'd make a good addition to a different and special kind of team if someone took him under their wing.

Having lived in Down Town Sacramento, I quickly learned to call it a night before midnight. It's a great place during the evening for dinner, lots of great restaurants and social places you can walk too. But every night around 11 the thugs show up in full force.
