No, don't buy into that stuff.
They do have a great young team, though. And baseball, unlike the nba, is one of those sports where once you make the playoffs you have a legit shot. Especially since the team that had he best regular season lost their best player. And calling him their best player is an understatement, as he contributes to every aspect of the game, and was even their most important player when hey had Pujols in his prime. |

I was a huge Cubs fan when I was a kid. This is the exact moment that I stopped following the Cubs, and pretty much, baseball altogether. 
After they blew that game, I was done with them. I don't think I've watched a full game since, other than going to an occasional game at Great American Ballpark. |
