Getting ready to watch the season 5 premiere episode of Homeland on the Showtime channel.

Carrie (Claire Danes) is one fucked up, neurotic (but brilliant) bitch.

I don't know why, but I gots the hots for her.

Overall, very good. There are parts during some seasons that get a bit tedious if you don't have much patience for slow plots, but then there always comes an episode that makes it all worth it.

It's about a CIA officer basically investigating and stopping terrorist plots, while dealing with a lot of personal issues of her own. It's from the people who made 24, and has a similar vibe but a bit more grounded in reality and not as action-y.

You can binge-watch seasons 1-4 on showtimeanytime.com.

I started watching season 4 last year, then had to go online and watch seasons 1-3.

It's mind-blowing.

Agreed, for me it started with Terminator. Hard not to like Sara Connors.

Great start. The show peaked as a spy thriller somewhere in season 2, and has been sliding towards 24 status ever since. But this was probably one of the most promising episodes post-Brody.

This is was just spy shit, and geopolitics. No dumb Brody daughter, no dumb baby/father/sister. That is a very good thing.

Quinn is back, motherfuckers!

And Claire Danes, in real life, is probably a big fan of Obungo. I have to shut my mind to that somehow. If I couldn't, the only thing on TV that I could watch would be Duck Dynasty.

The scene where "what's his name" drops the truth about Muslims was awesome. "Hit the reset button" was epic.

That scene was real good. It's funny a fictional character in a show has a better grasp of the ISIS/ISIL problem, than most people in real life.

Hmmm..  (She wasn't Sara Connors)

I'm a huge Homeland fan.... Just finished watching season 5 premier.  If you've not watched seasons 1-4, I'd recommend it (especially 1-3, which IMO, are for the most part, incredible).

Great show, one of my favs by far.  My second favorite right now (not surprisingly) is The Americans, but it won't be back until next year.

I had forgotten how good this show can be. It's always so current. If you haven't seen it you owe yourself to watch at the 13 min mark of the season premiere where Quinn tells the bureaucrats what he would do in Syria. Fucking outstanding!

This season has started in a very promising direction.  I like Hezbollah being involved.  I already hate the liberal newspaper slut and hope Saul has her offed.  Quinn ain't screwing around and neither is Saul.  As long as Brodie's daughter doesn't show up in Germany, we are good.

Saul and Quinn are the coolest motherfuckers who ever motherfucked.

I'm sort of surprised the show doesn't get much love around here. IMO it's one of the best shows around.

Probably cuz Hollywood libs are gayfags and they can't spare a minute away from FOX News.

By far my most favorite character. He ranks up there with some of the best made for cable drama characters.

I was pleasantly surprised when I sat down last night after work to a quiet home (kids sleeping, wife in Dallas, MIL left) to watch the DVR with Ray Donovan and saw Homeland on..watched the season opener instead of Ray.

Just got caught up.  Yay!

Outstanding episode.  Finally they got back to the tension and suspense of seasons 1 and 2.

Saul continues to be one of my favorite characters ever.  Complex yet vulnerable, master of his craft but flawed by his Intel.  Bravo...

I hope this season doesn't crash and burn like the last.

ETA - More Quinn please.

Edit:  And did that terrorist bitch that Quinn shot in the face say his name before she died?
