Our kids were kicking their ass pretty bad today. Coach from the other team lost his cool. Claimed that the refs were cheating for us. The straw that broke the camels back was their quarterback threw a pass to a kid behind him behind the line of scrimmage and the kid missed it making it a fumble. The coach lost it claiming it was an incomplete pass. The coach had to be restrained and escorted off the field and the game ended just after half time because of threats of violence. These are 6-7 yr old kids for shits sake. it's not the NFL.

you would think most coaches are good guys and there for the kids most of all, but a lot of them bring their adult egos to a kid's game.

so how much did you guys slip the ref?

That was bullshit and you know it OP, that was an incomplete pass, fucking refs must have been your cousins or something.

Total fucking rip off job.

Sports are taken way too seriously IMHO.  The main focus of sports should be kids, not ESPN, NFL fans, etc.

I coach soccer.  The adults (coaches and parents) are much more laid back in my experience.  I used to coach little league baseball too.  There was some assholes.  Not really the coaches so much, but the parents sure could be twats.

When the score gets up there, The winning coach needs to start trying new plays to see how they work in real life.

This is exactly why we need instant replay in pee wee sports.

Eh, I don't get on to the refs if the foul isn't painfully obvious. Nor do I blow a kid up for holding in a 7th grade game.

No sense in chewing either out, won't get you on the ref's good side and a middle schooler is going to hold back and not go hard.

Just be reasonable and correct what you can on the sideline.

When my daughter plays soccer i sit at the other end of the field away from the parents and my wife.

I came to watch them play and not listen to the parents yell at every little thing and my wife is just as bad as the rest of them.

I was a little league coach.  The other coaches were cool.  The parents?  Not so much.

My second year playing Pop Warner one of the assistant coaches got kicked out for telling us to "Break their fucking knees!" and "Make them bleed!" mixed in with other foul shit. 8-10 year olds playing football is serious business.

There were some coaches when I was playing little league who actually got banned from coaching for fixing the draft

Something about scouting out new players who were good and no one knew about yet, and getting them to play shittily at try outs or something.  It was like 20 years ago so I forget the details.  The best part is that one of the dads who got banned for it... well his son plays in the MLB now haha

I was ten years old and played on a little league team, in 1968.  The team we were playing arrived in Police station wagons ( Atlanta PD). I was wondering why they were coming in police cars?  Then I thought, that's cool.  Little did I know.  These ere poor kids, I mean really poor.  We played and we won.  They were scrappy.  We shook hands and then the "N" word came from somewhere.  An adult, not one of us kids.  Then 2 parents were gonna go at it, one black dude and one white dude.  My dad came and snatched my ass up and we were out of there.  I think the officers that drove kids there got a lid on it before it got started. Heated times.  I don't think we played any other teams with black players.  That's just the way it was.  I saw no other ass hattery other than that.
