never much of a glock fan but the one I shot today was pretty damn nice. would I be better off with a FNH or M&P? I figure if I don't bake the glock in a oven at 250 I should be ok right? |

I hate Glocks.
Having said that, I have 3 I have a Gen4 G19 that I occasionally carry, after shaving off the finger bumps and swapping out the sights on. I have a Gen3 G20C that its just fun to shoot, and a Gen4 G34MOS that I need to take to the range and sight in with it's Bushnell FF3 still. The trigger on all 3 is shitty, but consistent. Once you figure them out, they're all pretty much interchangeable. |

FPNI.
First Glock should be a G19. Pick your Gen. I love my Gen 3. |

Jesus carries a g19. True story X2 http://media.giphy.com/media/x9nJBlvvNYZXO/giphy.gif Don't make the baby Jesus cry, OP |

Buy a Glock, Don't buy a Glock. It's completely up to you.
With that said. Get a 17, Unless you have small girl hands. |
|
Got a 19 and a 43. I'm thinking of picking up a cheap G23 or maybe a G21 for my next one - Gen4, of course.

My first gun purchase was a G17. I like it. It's the only Glock I own.

I like Glocks, have a 26, 19 and 17. All gen 3s. That being said, I love my HK VP9 and even though HK thinks I suck and hate me I really hope they come out with a sub compact VP.

When has buying just one Glock been good advice? F that noise...buy two! My G43 and G19G3 have spoken...carry on people and go Glock yourselves!!!

View Quote I bake Glocks all the time. They'll be fine. Just replace the striker channel liner and you're good to go. |

Go for it OP. Inexpensive, reliable and comfortable to carry.

I just bought my first Glock this week. Gen 2 19 and I am impressed. It is accurate and reliable so far.

Have 4 glocks (two G19) and I'm about to adopt another. You're way behind OP.

I like my g26. Very versatile gun. Can be used for pocket carry, IWB, OWB ect..two standard mags are 10 rounds, i think the gen 4 come with 3...i carry a ten in the gun and a spare 17 as my second mag. So thats 28 rounds in a pocket carry gun. Its big, dont get me wrong, but it can be done. Pull the trigger, the gun goes bang.
The only con i can think of is $500-$550 for a brand new glock is kinda steep for what they are. |

View Quote The VP9 trigger is amazing (For a striker pistol) I'll own both a G19 and a VP9 eventually... But ~$450 Is an easier pill to swallow for me at the moment. Posted Via AR15.Com Mobile |

I have a GSSF coupon and will probably end up with a G-17 in November
