I want to rattle can one of my AR's in bright pink, orange, or yellow for the hell of it. Are there any laws that would stop me from doing this?
I don't care if you think this is stupid or a bad idea, I just want to know if it's allowed or not. |
|
Why would it be illegal.
In for the further stupidity and pic.... |
|
Yes. Very illegal.
ETA - After further research: Google indicates that to do a refinishing job on a firearm by an unlicensed individual in Pennsylvania requires written approval from a local CLEO. It looks like you might have to stop by your sheriff's department and request an Improved Design:10T form, often called the ID:10T. |
|
If you have no ill intended use, its totally legal to paint your property.

The fashion police might charge you with being gay in the 1st degree.

All that's needed is to paint the f/s orange. Then, watch the fun ensue when you "open carry."

Not sure if this is a real question or a troll thread? If it is real, I am saddened by the popular mindset that everything that is not spelled out as "legal or allowed" is against the law. I am amazed by how far we have fallen and how deep the socialist teachings have ingrained themselves into our thinking.

You may only paint it pink if it has MLP and hello kitty stickers on it.
|
|
Sounds an odd request but I'm not sure really. I know there a many pink, blue, red and so on firearms racing around. Not sure I've seen a blaze orange paint job outside a toy and/or there may be something in your area say pertaining to disguising a gun like painting only the tip a blaze orange.

Great question OP!
Hope you don't mind, but since were on the topic...can I legally file down the firing pin in my AR15 assault rifle? I really want it to shoot faster! I heard about some legal documentation but I'd rather avoid the hassle. Besides, I already own this machine gun, so I should be able to do what I want with it, right? It looks awesome! I used a hacksaw to cut the barrel off right in front of the front sight! It's soooo short now! Where do you guys get your banana clips from? I wanna stock up on those max capacity ones before they are illegal. |

whatever happened to the company that makes those lowers, don't hear anything about them any more |
|
As soon as you paint it, its worth 1/3 rd of what it was.... Those colors? 1/6 th if you're lucky.
The wolf is at the door. |

Did the OP just watch Chappie? I admit, Ninja's yellow AR made me want to paint one yellow.

Not sure what is worse, you even asking that question or you wanting to paint an AR in those colors
