Out on the shop floor we have fans and port-a-cool coolers on each end of the building. Temps range from 92-98, before we got those it has been as high as 117 a couple summers ago. Office and inspection/grinding room have a/c.

Work pickup has AC, and it runs all day long.

I'm in the pickup probably 50%+ of the time.

Office worker here. Our office is supposed to be, but HVAC is too small/old and the walls and ceiling aren't insulated. It is miserable in the summer.

ETA. Poll is confusing as fuck. What does having a degree or not have to do with having your work air conditioned? Not seeing the correlation.

Not always.   I have a 4 year degree.   I worked in a management position out on the factory floor for a few years.  My office was air conditioned,  but I spent 80% of my time on the manufactuing floor.  Wasnt uncommon to reach 110+ inside with the laser cutters,  welders,  and open air paint curing ovens running.   Humidity was a bitch too.

Surprisingly,  most people could keep their tempers in check.

I work in an climate controlled factory now.   Most of our product requires a very clean,  humidity free environment.   When our some of our hourly guys start bitching,  I tell them that other companies in the area are hiring similar positions for 1/2 to 1/3 the pay,  working mandatory 60 hour weeks in 110 degree heat.

Gives me nightmares of the time I spent working in  the foundry.   Retirment there was after 25 years,  rather than 30.  Presumably,  because it was hell and knocked at least 5 years off your life. At the end of the day,  I would blow my nose, and black shit would come out.

agreed, same here. papermachines crank out heat and humidity all day.
90-100 degrees and 100% humidity all day long
lots of hydration stations to keep everyone going during a changeover
all we get is Heating and ventilation.
winter is much more pleasant on the floor.

No shit.  I did my time at 110F between two paper towel machines in winter and hours under a Yankee dryer.  Forget that.

Lol.  Yes.  Bachelor's in sociology.  Opened our own in home health care company in May.  I have an office with a couch,  and bean bag chair,  and fridge and AC and a 50 inch Samsung TV I bought yesterday.  Unfortunately I basically live there at this point.

Once we grow a bit and hire some minions,  it's going to be like grown up kindergarten.  Complete with nap time and Call of Duty.

Some places are and some are not. It depends on what part of the plant you are in. I would say about 65% of the plant enjoys the benefits of climate control.. While the rest of it swelters. My old office had AC but now I have to hang out in the MCC to have AC..at least there is a desk and  computer in there.

Too much so. I am sitting in my office right now in a fleece cap, sweatshirt, and coat. A coworker came in the other day and said "Damn, they could hang meat in here." I would rather have the heat.

When I was working at the mine this summer?  Nope.  I was either shooting points with the survey GPS, laying out or loading blast holes, collecting samples from the process plant (outside and around a nasty, hot mixture of caustic soda and cyanide that strips gold from carbon), or working inside a non air-conditioned lab running an AAS.  I did have fans running in the lab for ventilation, but no AC that worked.

Now I'm back to being a student for two more semesters until I graduate.  Thankfully most of my classrooms have heating and AC

Yes. BA/BS. But the a/c and heat is set for clusters of offices and apparently they like it warm. I'm not there too much.

I've been working in 99% AC since I left the factory job in the late 1980's.  I was in my mid 20's then and still remember it well.

ETA:  I worked that factory job for over two years until my dad asked if I'd though about going to college.  I got an AAS degree in computers and never spent much time out of AC since.

We're definitely in the dog days of summer now.  Not so much hot but humid and uncomfortable.  My workplace is not air conditioned and temps have been in the high 80s to low 90s all week but feels warmer because sweat isn't working like it should.  Tempers are short.  How is it for you?  Also, what level of education do you have?  Poll offers multiple choices.

Your poll choices are fucking retarded. I have a bachelors degree and work 75% outside and 25% inside. I'm a superintendent for a huge general  contractor in the DC area.

Stop trying to compare education to work environment. I have a buddy who's a chemical engineer, PE, and chooses to work in the field.
