One of the coolest launches I've seen (I've seen about 30). The coolest being a night-time Space Shuttle launch; lit up the whole Indian River and surrounding land in a bright orange glow.

I woke up early to watch the launch.
Unfortunately, there was solid cloud cover here in north Florida. I didn't see a thing. |

Glenn Beck was decending from the heavens making his grand entrance to save the world. Nothing to see here, move along.

I tried posting this earlier, but it disappeared when I hit submit... Delete if I dupe myself. I walked out to my car and saw this in the NE sky from southeast Florida: https://youtu.be/fpP49XvAo-4 At first it was small and I assumed it was a high-flying airplane, but then it kept getting bigger and that is when this video starts. Shortly after it ends there was a huge shockwave and it slowed considerably. Anybody else see it? Anyone know what the hell I just saw??? ETA: It lasted well over a minute. It started NE and we lost sight of it when it was due east of my location. View Quote God's sperm? |

You’re saying that’s a rocket launch? That looks more like a re-entry moving through the upper atmosphere and apparently breaking the sound barrier if there was a sonic boom. My interest - you have it. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:
