Still have almost a month here but the ol' trusty A5 will be ready.
|
|
think i'm just gonna pull the 'ol 500 out and use it this year....
that damned 835 ultimag is heavy, and i don't think the camo job on it really matters since we'll likely be sitting on the tailgate of a red pick up truck! |

Heavy? It's way lighter than my 590! it dawned on me last year.......right towards the end of late duck season.... aint no point in my carrying that big, heavy gun around a dove field when i'm only shooting game 7.5's.......hell, i really don't even need the ultimag for duck hunting, the 3" high brass #3's and 4's dropped a lot of high flyers last year..... |

I can't wait to grill up some of those delectable little birds. As of right now, unfortunately, there's not many flying in my area.

Most of the places here were all swallowed up by development. I like quail better because i can get out away from all the dipshits standing on top of one another.

One of my bucket list items is to go to Mexico and melt a shotgun barrel on some whitewings.

Dehydration and heat exhaustion, not to mention snakes and dogs that just run the fuck away. Then you get guys who want to cool off their dogs by pouring rubbing alcohol all over them. |

Two weeks to go for south zone.
Drove out in the field a few days ago in the early morning... it was like the opening of the olympics. Glorious flock of dove. |
|
I have to work.....
I'm gonna try and get out this weekend though. |

I had dove once. It was awesome. One of these days I'm going to have time to do everything I want to do.
Any day now.. |

My favorite day of the year. When I was little, the night of August 31st was WAY longer than Christmas Eve.
One of these days I'm going to go down to Argentina and turn it up to 11 |

Opening day here is September 1st.
I am planning on getting to the spot after work tomorrow. I even (gasp) cleaned a shotgun. |
|
Dad has this Beretta A400 semi that shoots faster than an FN...
It's a weapon of dove apocalypse. |
|
|
Opener is Sept 5th here, and I am ready for it. Checked the field yesterday and had good numbers of birds in it - hoping they hang around for a week.
