If you don't know what the upcoming movie 'Captain America: Civil War' is about: an incident results in serious collateral damage causing the government to pass the Superhuman Registration Act which would force a mandatory registration of superpowered individuals with the government.

Captain America, having fought in WWII and knowing what registration leads to, leads the anti-registration side.

Tony Stark/Iron Man leads the pro-registration side.

Here are the rest of the teams so far:

Reality is, Bloomberg would buy all of them and Thor and Hulk would knock down your house and take your guns.

The Punisher's part in the comic was great.

I'll watch this just to see how they slant it. The comic was done very well.

Let's see:

1) Billionaire that thinks he knows what's best for everyone else

2) Believes only he should have access to hi-tech weaponry and computer systems

3) Addict

4) Believes in forcible registration of humans that have special abilities/offensive capabilities

5) Hates freedom

Yes, he's your typical hollywood/rich liberal.

So no-one on the pro-registration side is a superhuman.

In fact, Cap is the only superhuman in that picture.

I can't help feeling that without bringing more of the mutants into the storyline that the superhuman registration act doesn't make a lot of sense.

Correct.

A guy who owns a suit isn't a superhuman (presumably they'd register the suit, not themselves?).

And BlackWidow, Hawkeye & Falcon certainly wouldn't qualify.

I think we need to see the wording of this bill!

I read the prose novel, I'm waiting on picking up the graphic novel for my birthday.

Thor and Hulk will not be in it which I'm glad they aren't.

I will be on the side of freedom and capt. America even though I know what happens

I really liked 'Winter Soldier.'  I hope this is as good.  It looks like it has the potential to be really good.

It looks like those fighting on the side of freedom might be seriously out-gunned, though.

You can see it after you approve it.

I think that the Civil War storyline is quite a lot to stuff into one movie, I bet they change quite a bit from the comics. I do hope they do it well.

Not a comic wizard, but I thought that, cyborg appendages not withstanding, Buckey had received treatment similar to CA.

think of his name being Captain America.  First and last name. We as Americans love to shorten names. and a shorter version of Captain is Cap.  Cause obviously his last name is not America.

Except there aren't mutants in the MCU, they are part of the X-Men universe.
I'm guessing something in the upcoming season of Agents of SHIELD will happen that cause a lot more Inhumans to appear.

I don't understand how Tony Stark - essentially anti-central government control in Iron Man 2 - is on the registration side of this conflict.  Blows my mind.  Not a comic book guy, just love the movies.

He and Hank Pym are both responcible for Ultron and feel guilty for all the lost lives that it caused.

This leads him to think that anyone not average or below should be forced to register because they are capable of doing great things good or bad.
