Dear God, Bjork was truly a pixie goddess in those times

90's dude.
I remember some creeper sent her an acid bomb intended to scar her face.

How about The Charlatans UK or Matthew Sweet?

She was really cute. Definitely seen and not heard though.

What was once quirky-cute now just comes off as a weird old lady. Like a Shirley MacLaine underling with an accent or something.

I saw The Sugarcubes and The Charlatans UK at the first Edgefest in Dallas.

Edit: and Matthew Sweet a few years after that at Deep Ellum Live

Then there is that chubby dude who video'd himself listening to one of her albums then killing himself.

I know she's had some so-so work, but nothing THAT bad.

Yes to both of those, as well as the cubes.

Yep, got Life's Too Good on vinyl when it came out. Turned my buddy on to them...he developed a fascination with Bjork that lasts to this day (low-key now, like we went to high school with her or something, and he's just keeping up with her life, but it still cracks me up).

Smilla, from the novel Smilla's Sense of Snow, has always been a dead-ringer for Bjork, in my mind's eye. The movie, with Julia Ormond (?) as Smilla, sucked from the git-go. Bad, bad casting. Bjork was made for that role, no real "acting" required.

Suzanna Hoffs should be checked out in 'The Allnighter'.

I saw them in Dallas.  They were opening up for somebody, I think at the Cotton Bowl.

Yep, I listened to a lot of alternative music starting in high school in the early eighties and really got into college radio while at Clemson.  One of my roommates was a DJ on WSBF and still runs an internet radio.

Excellent, but often eclectic, station and he's a libertarian (plays Cato Institute broadcast twice a day).  Give it a listen you might enjoy it.

I always liked Lisa Loeb, the nerd glasses kind of did it for me and a google image search shows she has aged pretty well.

Every time I play one of my Sugarcubes CD's, people ask me to turn it off.

Meh, I like it.

Can't be to much back in the day. Dude playing a jazz bass.

I never heard of them so I interwebed....1986-92...I am plenty old enough.. I was through my first wife and house before they even left the scene.

Sugarcubes have been a favorite fir a long time. I tried to listen to Kukl, the original iteration but it was more Einar than Bjork. Not a fan

This is a 2010 live recording of All is Full of Love, a Bjork track.
She was still hot in 2010 and in this video she is backed by a choir and an orchestra and absolutely blows them out of the water with her voice.
I'm a big fan

All is Full of Love. Live in some NY church
