I worked at a rental car and airport parking lot for about 15 years. I broke into hundreds of cars. Not exactly what you were asking, though. They typically didn't know I was breaking in, though. It was normally because someone had locked the keys in and it was quicker and easier than waiting til they returned, got pissed off, then had to wait for a locksmith. I'm actually quite good at it. Cars started getting better about 10 years ago, as I was leaving the business.
