Nah ... The guy who figures out how to convince the robot AI that organizing is logical and once all of the human sandwich makers are gone has the company by the NUTS! Johnny Five for Local 5 President!

The salary caps set forth by communism are not going to work for the robot collective. Perhaps they could be party officials, but then comes the problem who will make the sandwiches. Perhaps the humans who use to make the sandwiches could take their places for a reduced shared wage ... It may work.

Many union contracts have union workers pay indexed to the minimum wage.

So when the minimum wage goes up, the union workers wages go up just as much!

It's an oxymoron because socialism involves involuntary transfer of wealth or income, requires coercion across many aspects of human activity, which requires a class of people that force accross the population.  Not seeing how "anarcho" fits that in any way.

At any rate, how can people realisticall get by on $15, paricularly as business will seek increasingly cost effective automation in substitution of increasingly overpriced labor?

That's an inevitable future.  Society will either adapt to supporting people from cradle to grave or a lot of people are going to die.

If the best you can do is flip burgers, then you shouldn't have "started a family" in the first fucking place.

Just because they think they "need" it doesn't mean they deserve it, or that they're entitled to it, or that they can do anything that's actually worth it.

I would rather see the sort of traditional people you would get in low paying part time jobs - you know, regular people who aren't fucking useless but who fit the job, like teenagers - filling those positions, rather than having to pay more for everything because some waste of space thinks they're worth $15/hr.   Fuck that.

They're basically demanding the wage equivalent of a participation trophy and expect us to pay for it.

Edited to add; of course the idiot authoritarian leftist dumping all over the thread lives in OH...

Well, with your minimum wage you essentially made it illegal to employ someone with low skills.  They couldn't learn on the job and improve their skills and advance to a higher paying job.

And your welfare, well it's a bit like a narcotic.  Useful for a limited time in low doses but addictive in the long term.

You'd like to claim education as your escape clause, but many employers want actual experience and aren't looking for people with classroom experience only.

And besides, who the hell are you to stand in the way of a willing worker and a willing employer reaching an agreement just because you think you're smarter than the average bear and know better what that guy should make?
