I haven't been there in 20 years, wanting to take the wife and kids out to eat. Hows the food there nowadays?

Cheesy biscuits are good. For the price, everything else pretty much sucks.

I'd rather go somewhere where they don't microwave the lobsters to death.

I used to love it when I was a kid. These days the endless crab is endless wait. They take so long to bring you more you just leave or die sitting there. The local one barely stocks lobster anymore, most of the tails are frozen. Has a really cheap feel and taste these days. The rolls are decent. I gave up going there after 3 bad trips in 2 years. Hopefully it's just my local one.

Edit: wow 9 replies in 30 seconds, guess that answers your question op

Last two times I've eaten there it has been terrible. We rarely eat at chain places any more. We have better luck at mom and pop joints.

Contrary to what most of the Spago diners here say, Red Lobster isn't bad. Here in SoCal we have access to a lot of good seafood, but occasionally I will meet friends at RL for one reason or another and it's always been decent

It's the same as the last time you ate there, at every other Red Lobster in the world.

I'm not a snob by any means, but if you are eating at Red Lobster within 25 miles of the coast for seafood, somebody made a poor choice
or has poor taste.

Measly pencil sized crab legs. Not even worth the trouble.

It's too expensive for the quality of the food.

It's the worst seafood on earth lol. It's the seafood equivalent of olive garden. However their biscuits are crack.

My wife's grandmother loves Red Lobster. Don't ask me why. Wouldn't be my first choice and she probably loved it long before I was on this Earth, but it's one of her favorite places. Because of that, we sometimes take her there.

When we go, I normally put on my nice suit from JC Penny and my wife wears a very nice evening dress (normally from JC Penny's too) then we take the F250 and have a night out on the town.

I have to go all the way to New Orleans man. It's tough to stop from getting dirty when you have to paddle from your house to your truck.

You can buy the mix at Walmart and make them at home. Only 700 calories per biscuit.
