I had to get an ID card recently.
I'm obviously male. I have a beard. I'm tall. I don't have tits. I dress like a guy. I got asked "what sex are you?" Stunned, I sat there for a second while I pondered how I even got asked that question...and then I remembered.....in the Govt's eyes, I might be a her/it, because the world has become that fucking stupid. |

Just called the Alumni office and was transferred to the Office of Diversity and Goofy Pronouns, to get a clarification on this.
Apparently they are getting hammered over this; was told that this was a newsletter article that listed suggestions and was not a campus wide policy change. "Zi" also mentioned that the Chancellor would be putting out a statement for clarification on the matter. I told "Xer" that I hoped it would not ever become policy; imagine how goofy this would look on a resume or curriculum vitae to a prospective employer. It would look like a typo.......and would not benefit a prospective graduate. |
